For any of you out there that don’t know me, I’m a long time SIM racing fan. I’ve been driving racing SIM’s for about, well my whole life now. I’ve raced just about everything from Test Drive (yes, that’s test drive 1 – 1987) through to rFactor and competed in all kinds of awesome online events such as 3 years in the Bullrun 1000. not to mention a whole swag of other events.

I have to say that after a shaky start to my rookie season (compounded buy well over a year without an online race) I’ve had some of the very best online racing of my life in iRacing.

Over the xmas break I’ll be studying for the Microsoft 70-653 exam. I’ve been wanting to get this one out of the way for some time now, so all going well I’ll be certified early 2011. On top of the cert I’m starting a new job in the new year. So moving, new job and study.. 2011 is going to be a BUSY year for me.

The thing I found interesting here is the way these people are keeping your machine compromised, rather then using Windows startup techniques to reinfect they are using log-off scripting (clever)

“GodMode,” a term devised by the Microsoft development team, which provides a single place to access all Windows settings without needing to browse options and folders in the Control Panel.

To use it:

1. Create a new folder.
2. Rename the folder toGodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

   (note that you can change the “GodMode” text, but the following period and code number are essential).

3. The folder icon will change — double click it to show the GodMode window:
